Harbor Park
Harbor Park — Norfolk, VA
Harbor Park delivered everything I was hoping for and more. Caught the Norfolk Tides vs. Gwinnett Stripers and came away impressed: great sightlines from nearly every seat, clean and well-maintained facilities, and an energetic crowd that made the night feel like a true baseball outing.
Highlights:
Game experience: The on-field action was solid and the in-stadium entertainment kept momentum between innings. The PA announcements, music, and mascot appearances were well-timed and never intrusive.
Sightlines & seating: Even upper-level seats offered clear views of the field. Seats are comfortable and the concourses are wide enough to move around without missing much of the game.
Concessions & food: Plenty of options, from classic ballpark fare to local favorites. Prices are a bit steep (as you’d expect at a ballpark), but portions are reasonable and quality is good.
Staff & service: Friendly, efficient staff at gates and concession stands. Cleanup crews kept the park tidy throughout the evening.
Atmosphere & location: Waterfront setting adds a pleasant backdrop, and the crowd was family-friendly and enthusiastic. Parking was straightforward and close enough for a quick exit after the game.
Minor caveat:
Cost: Tickets and concessions run on the pricey side, so plan ahead if you’re on a budget. Still worth it for a fun night out.
Bottom line: Harbor Park is a top-notch minor league ballpark that nails the classic baseball experience. A bit pricey, but well worth it for the lively atmosphere, comfortable facility, and overall entertainment value. Highly recommend for families, couples, and baseball fans visiting Norfolk.
