Southland Trade
Southland Trade is a true roadside institution and one of my favorite stops along the Caratoke Highway.
This unique destination combines a massive, well-stocked general store filled with unique gifts, and specialty opened with a welcoming restaurant serving classic Southern comfort food like their famous fried chicken and pulled pork BBQ. I’ve been coming here for over 45 years and still look forward to every visit. The food is consistently delicious, the portions generous, and the atmosphere warm and nostalgic.
The entire complex is clean and well-maintained with friendly staff. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a quick meal, shop for unique finds, or simply enjoy a relaxed break on a road trip. Definitely stop by if heading to Nags Head, NC. A true gem in Moyock. Highly recommended.
