Historic Hicks Field - Edenton Streamers
The Edenton Steamers game against the River City Skippers was a fantastic evening at Historic Hicks Field. The ballpark is really cool, a preserved 1939 WPA-era wooden grandstand that’s the oldest of its kind in North Carolina and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It offers an intimate, old-fashioned baseball experience with the community right on top of the action.
A day before the 250th anniversary of our country, the patriotism was incredible. Everyone was decked out in red, white, and blue, creating an inspiring atmosphere of American pride and community spirit. The game itself was exciting and fun, perfectly capturing small-town summer baseball magic.
Edenton Steamers games at this historic venue are a must for baseball fans and anyone appreciating history and patriotism. Highly recommended! A wonderful way to enjoy America’s pastime in a truly special setting.
