Hyatt Place Daytona Beach

As a Hyatt Globalist, this oceanfront property misses the mark on service and luxury standards. Staff provided minimal interaction with no greetings or good mornings. The breakfast buffet was embarrassing and basic compared to higher-end Hyatt(s); limited options like scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, toast, yogurt, fruit, and granola. Dining area overlooks a parking lot leading to the beach, and sand tracks everywhere due to proximity.

In the room, there was virtually no water pressure in the shower, and the AC didn't work well; the space always felt wet and clammy rather than properly cooled. Rooms and location suit a basic beach stay if you don't expect premium service or amenities. Fine for convenience, not luxury.
